I come from a musical family. My parents met in a band called Traffic Jam - my mom was the singer and my dad was the lead guitarist. Still happily married and living in Missouri, they recently recorded a cover of Joni Mitchell's Help Me with the help of their friend Mark. While at Mark's house, my dad befriended his grumpy cat, Otis. It was from this cat that my dad created his new stage name, Otis Read.

This poster was a Christmas surprise for my dad to decorate his newly-renovated recording studio. “He’s like Marilyn Monroe. [Otis] can’t take a bad picture.”
