I was commissioned to create a logo for Elba Embroidery Designs, and ended up creating 3 iterations to serve different functions.
Lauren wanted something based on the Napoleonic bee, so I studied variations on the design. This was my first time creating such detailed vector images in Illustrator, but the level of detail in her embroidery is what makes it so wonderful, so I really wanted to do it justice.
My 3 design iterations for this were 1) the full logo with florals, to be used mainly for headings and primary display panels on packaging 2) the round logo, meant mainly for stickers 3) the abbreviated logo, with a looped “e e,” used for email signatures and creating patterns.
